Look Book: Styled by Festivity

Top, jeans, bag, jewelry all from Festivity Boutique

I had the opportunity this past week to be styled by the lovely ladies at Festivity Boutique in Buckhead for some photos for their blog. I really love the clothes and accessories that they carry and can't wait to share the pictures with you. I wish they sold all of their products online, but if you happen to have a festivity in your area (Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama) then you should definitely check the boutique out. This colorblock top was one of my favorite pieces.

Get Lost In Venice

I was recently asked to write a small article about Venice for a newsletter at Husband's job and wanted to share it with you guys. Its much longer than any of my posts, but it does a good job of summing up what I liked about the Venice portion of our honeymoon.

Get Lost In Venice....and we did just that. We arrived at the Venice airport, hopped into a water taxi and were soon stepping at the Rialto’s front door. Needless to say, nobody had warned us that there were literally no cars within the city and that we would be lugging our luggage down alleys to reach our hotel. We knew that this was bound to be an unforgettable trip. After getting settled in, we explored the streets of Venice, taking in the buildings and gazing through boutique windows, which were dressed with cardinals’ robes and feathery masks. We stopped for a quick lunch, multiple times in fact, and the pizzas were absolutely delicious.

We fell upon the Piazza San Marco where we walked among the tourists and pigeons and listened while the church bells rang. As we escaped to the San Polo district, we admired the architecture, astonished that every building we passed could easily be considered an amazing work of art. Our main objective, as the sun went down and we walked alongside the Grand Canal, was to find a romantic spot for dinner.

Our debut romantic dinner as newlyweds was down a quiet side street in San Marco. When we sat down, there were already breadsticks at our table, which we devoured before our waiter had even returned with our wine. Between us we scoffed a lasagne alla bolognese  (We were in Italy! I had to have a lasagna) and a grilled lamb.
I can honestly say that it was the best lasagna that I had ever eaten.

The following morning, we took a walk through the Jewish Ghettos, located in the Cannaregio district of Venice. Then we journeyed, by foot of course, to Castello. We were excited to fall upon a public park that actually contained greenery. We spent a few hours admiring Venice’s naval history and castles, but quickly ducked for shelter as rain showers attempted to damper our trip. We circled back through many winding streets towards our hotel room, with grumbling stomachs and rain falling at our feet. Surprisingly enough, the rain glistening down on the marble city made it even more beautiful. As I shared my umbrella with the first person I’d ever want to visit this majestic city with, I realized that this city was indeed gorgeous from start to finish and I couldn’t wait to visit it again.

Its Fall!

Outfit: white tank, Cotton skirt, forever 21 belt, Jessica Simpson wedges

I got this skirt from Cotton On when I visited Miami this past July. I love the color and the fabric is super soft. The weather here has gotten soo cold...well I guess 58 degrees isn't exactly cold, but it makes me realize that summer is really over. I hate the cooler weather, but I am excited to start boot shopping. I'm also excited for all the activities that come with the this time of year. I hope to go to the North Georgia and Georgia National fairs within the next 2 weeks. I also hope to attend a Georgia game or two this season with Husband since he has never been to one. I want to throw a Thanksgiving party this fall. I may even want to go apple picking this year, even though I knocked a good friend for wanting to do it last fall. What fall activities do you hope to get into?

I LOVE married life. I've officially been married for a month now and its been everything that I've hoped. We haven't gotten our prints from the photographer yet but here are some more pictures from my wedding...

Bauble necklace

Wearing: button up top, H&M shorts and Necklace, Mossimo flats, Jessica Simpson bag

Husband and I had a very long layover in New York on our way to Venice so we decided to dip out of the airport for some time and see the city. I fell in love with this necklace at H&M and had to have it.

This bag never gets old for me.

Stay tuned for wedding photos! Happy Friday!

Venice, My Love (Day 1)

My vacation outfits mostly consisted of shorts, loose tops, dresses and flats.

We literally walked into every little caffe, even if it was to just admire the food. The Pizzas were soo good and great for our 'on the go'

I found the shots around the water really beautiful. I could just sit there and stare all day.

Husband (so weird to say that now) giving his best 'Reflecting' pose.

Day 1 of our honeymoon began in Venice. Venice was
absolutely stunning and as romantic as I imagined. We
arrived there in the morning, checked into our super cute,
yet super tiny hotel room then spent the entire day exploring the city.
Venice is the most gorgeously built city that I have ever had the
pleasure of visiting; literally everything is built of marble.
The food was also just as wonderful. I will never
look at pasta in the States the same way again.

These have been the best 10 days of my life and I can't wait to see what is ahead for us.

It was everything I could have hoped for and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
