Skittles

Wearing: sweater from Nordstrom Rack, purple H&M skinnies and scarf,
Jeffrey Campbell wedges, Alexander Wang bag

Fiance kept calling me Barney and Skittles today, but I loved the colors. It brought color to such a dreary, rainy day. Plus Skittles are like my all time favorite candy anyway so whose the butt of the jokes there anyhow, lol.
This scarf has fond memories for me as I was compelled to purchase it on my visit to Paris last year. The weather took me by surprised as I totally didn't expect it to be 40 degrees during my time there and only took a very light coat. I froze my butt off, but this spotted scarf managed to bring an element of fun to a frigid situation.

But Baby Its Still Warm Outside

Wearing: Dolce Vita booties, Forever 21 top, Target shorts,
random clutch, collar necklace from Nordstrom, H&M tights
Sorry for the lack of Christmas colors. I actually don't think I've worn any Christmas colors this season aside from at Christmas gatherings. I've been itching to wear these booties since I brought them home and decided to pair it with a simple button up. I love the colors and found the weather outside extra warm so it worked. Actually, I could've gotten away with not wearing any tights. Well I hope that your Christmas holidays have been filled with cheer thus far and I wish all of you a VERY Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. I'm not sure if I will get around to posting again till Monday, but we shall see. Maybe a post on some Christmas cookies and our gingerbread house. I'm off to my parents house now.

Simply Spotted

Wearing: blouse from Burlington Coat Factory, blue pants from H&M,
leopard flats (also seen here), leopard belt from F21, Alexander Wang Rocco Baby
I'm officially done Christmas Shopping!! How awesome is that right? I'm usually still doing Christmas shopping up until Christmas Eve. Todays weather was nasty. It was really warm (70 degrees) and I didn't know what to do with myself being that it is like 40 degrees one day and 70 something the next. I decided to go really simple and pair my blue skinnies with a black blouse and my leopard shoes. Its too warm to be soo close to Christmas even for Georgia #globalwarming

Hope you like my animal spots

Dolce Vita Booties

I was doing some Christmas shopping this morning at Nordstrom Rack when these Dolce Vitas caught my eye.
A woman behind me gasped when she saw then and at that moment I knew If I wanted them I couldn't put them back because they were the very last pair and in a size 7 nonetheless. I held onto them as I walked around the store to pick up a gift or two and of course, the ended up coming home with me. They aren't too cobalt blue, but they aren't royal blue either. Just perfect!

[With flash]

Also ended up leaving with some Jeffrey Campbell flats for $19. Today was a good day.
So glad that you guys like my Sunglasses DIY. I have another DIY that I hope to get posted sometime this week. Stay warm and safe (there are some crazies on the road)!

Sunglasses Organization DIY

I saw this DIY on Cupcakes and Cashmere last month and added it to the top of my must DIY list. My sunglasses previously held a place on my night stand, in my car, in the kitchen, literally everywhere. So when I saw this DIY, I had to try it. I spent probably $1.50 buying the wire, but everything else I already had at home.

All you need is an old picture frame, spray paint (not pictured) hooks, wire,
something sharp to dig a hole, and a pencil

I used the pencil to mark the areas I wanted to drill a hole

Drilled shallow holes

Twisted the hooks into the hole

Twisted the wire around the hook eye and then
strung it across to the eye on the opposite end

I decided that I hated the gold frame after wards so I spray painted everything before hanging it (after the paint dried of course).
 Easy and awesome right???

New Sunnies

I'm almost done Christmas shopping, thank God, but I've also seemed to catch a major cold. Fiance has bronchitis and I think that I may have it too :/ It has totally put a damper on my week, especially since I love being full force into the Cheery Christmas spirit. Aside from that, I had to show you guys my new sunnies that I picked up from Charming Charlies yesterday evening (some of you already saw this from twitter). I love them soo much, especially the peachish colored ones
The first ones remind me of Rayban's tortoise wayfarers.
The peach ones remind me of a bit of Rodarte x Opening Ceremony sunnies
sorry for my fuzzy photos...too lazy to pull out the DSLR
My next DIY will hopefully be something to hold my growing collection of sunglasses in.
This is actually what my nails look like. I for some reason thought I owned Essie's red nail polish (I wanted to do red nails with gold shimmer, but instead I have cranberry. But I still love the color.

My DIY Glitter Heels

Wearing: Forever 21 skinnies, Mango button up shirt,
DIY glitter heels, collar necklace from Kohls

I have seen soo many DIY glitter shoes in the past 2 months that it inspired me to do my own. It took like no time to do at all (except for the waiting and drying). I had a pair of old yellow heels that I wore like once a year. In fact I've worn them once in a blog post here. Let me know what you guys think.

Rock Out With My Studs Out

I've really wanted some studded boots for a while now and I was pretty close to turning one of my own pair of boots into a DIY project. Instead I saw these cheap Bamboo ones that I really like and so I picked them up.

I Call My Scarf Nettie

Make Sure that you've entered the Leopard Loafers giveaway!!! It ENDS Friday at 11:59pm EST
Wearing: Sweater & Scarf from Forever 21, clutch from TJMaxx,
See Thru Soul jeans from Nordstroms, Steve Madden heels

I finally received my save the dates from the printer so I'm too excited about that. Totally didn't take into account the more difficult task of gathering peoples mailing address for save the dates and the future invitations...what a pain. I kept thinking about how cool it'd be to have a striped shirt to wear under this sweater after I saw Patience's post with her striped shirt underneath her sweater. I got the fishnet like scarf (also seen here) from forever 21 last year and thought it was very different from traditional scarves and I've loved it ever since.

How Do You Like My Scarf??
