Fall Blazers

Happy Monday - Outfit of The Day...
Wearing: Express top, BCBG pants, Forever 21 blazer,
Jeffrey Cambell 99 , Jessica simpson clutch, jewelry from Nordstrom

My blazer collection has improved immensely since starting my blog a year ago. I don't know what it was but I found myself growing fond of them and craved them in any color I saw. A year ago I could count my blazers on one hand and they only existed in the color black. Now I literally have every color of the rainbow..well not literally but I would love them to.  I got this one from Forever 21 two weeks ago (along with the wine colored one) and I have been itching to wear it. I wore this out on Saturday to run some errands, watch the Ga-FL game (go dawgs! I love my Alma Mater), then go out with Fiance.

 Aren't these colors soo pretty???
Do you have a favorite fall blazer yet?
Well now you do....

See you lovelies tomorrow!!

Weekly Nails + Wedding Update

So this is what my n, ails look like this week. I used Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails Xtreme in Posh Plum (i think that's the name) and Black Out for the tips. Then I coated the Black Out in Essie's Matte About You. Afterwards I liked the tips in a nail art glittery silver polish.

I've totally gone off track in wedding posts being that I had planned on having one a week since the engaged and that has only happened like once. For those just joining in, My Fiance proposed to me on August 1, 2011.
My sister showed me a picture where someone did this with their ring and I thought it was soo cute that I wanted to do it also.
But anyway, I finally have a venue reserved for my wedding!!! So I can start checking stuff off of my mile long to do list. We're going to be using an Atlanta Hotel. At first I didn't care to look at hotels because I figured they would be hard to decorate but after add a few to my venue list and checking them out, one of the venues became by first choice. I initially wanted an outdoor wedding but I just couldn't deal with the possibility of a chance of rain.

I decided against getting a wedding planner because I have a friend that pretty good a stuff like this and then my sisters really want to help also so I will be putting everything together myself so throw your ideas my way if you come across any.

It Made My Weekend....

Weekend Craving: Smores!
I never made these as a kid so I'm not sure why the sudden craving for them. They were delish though.

Favorite Outfit
Isnt this skirt gorg??? I can't find that specific Victoria Secret skirt but a similar skirt and top from VS are listed below.
Similar VS Sequined Skirt

Favorite Song/Video from the weekend
Adele - Someone Like You
I love this song but I was pretty bummed when Adele canceled her US tour because Fiance and I had tickets to see her. I was even more bummed because I had been planning the concert as Fiance's birthday gift (his bday was yesterday btw) since July and had to go find a last minute gift. This is the second time she's canceled her trip to Atlanta and I'm not sure I care to try to see her again. Love her music though. Sincerely, Pissed Fan.

Favorite Weekend Beauty Item
Deborah Lippman's nail polish in Brick House. Her nail polish is definitely on the pricey side but this new shade is soo gorgeous! Can't wait to do my nails in this color.
Outfit of the Day...

Forever 21 skirt, Target boots, H&M belt

Can you tell what my favorite colors for the fall are? I am loving maroons, oranges, rust colors right now. I think that they are the perfect shades of fall. I think that it wouldve been much more beautiful if I could've shot these pictures in the woods somewhere. I really need to start taking my photos with other backgrounds. Happy Monday!

Wine

No reference to the beverage (though I enjoy a nice glass of wine, lol), more so the color... I recently purchased a couple of new blazers from Forever 21 and I am soo in love with them. I was kind of shocked when I saw them because the quality of the material rivals some of my Zara blazers which I paid more than double for. I also scored this Jessica Simpson purse when I went to Florida recently. Paired it with my Jeffrey Campbell 99s. I am so in need of some more heeled/wedged booties.

Wearing: Forever 21 blazer and necklace, Jeffrey Campbell wedge booties, Jessica Simpson bag.

Just realized that my sleeve on my brown shirt rolled out..lol. eh

Triangle Nails

1. I used Essie's Sand Tropez, Beauty Secret Base/Top Coat from Sallys, Sally Hanson's Hard As Nails White On, and Kiss Nail Art Paint in Black.
2. Apply Base Coat
3. Apply white polish
4. Use scotch tape to create the V pattern
5. Add Sand Tropez to are within the V
6. Line outside of the V with black nail art paint
My painting was kind of sloppy but usually after I shower I am able to get all of the paint that didn't make it on the nail off. This is how I do triangle nails

Pasta, Pan Seared Tilapia w/ Avocado & Pineapple

So I love love love avocados, but usually only have them when I make guacamole. I couldn't figure out how exactly I wanted to incorporate it into a dish so I combined a recipe for pasta and a recipe for pineapple mango salsa. Heres what I used...

1 tilapia fillet
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
Italian dressing
Salt
Ground black pepper
Garlic powder
1/2 an avocado, cut into chunks
a couple of tomato chunks
some pineapple chunks
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro leaves
I love tilapia. I seasoned 2 tilapia fillets with black pepper, garlic powder and salt. You actually only need one fillet but I was extra hungry. I placed them in a pan and let them cook.

Meanwhile I combined the pineapple (I also used 4 chunks of guava), cilantro, and avocado. Then I tossed it all in lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.

Tossed the pasta in a little Italian dressing

Topped the pasta with the cooked fish and then the pineapple/avocado mixture
Bon Appetit!

Make it Work!

I've been a really bad blogger lol. Just disappearing here and there. I went for a last beach trip for the last 3 days before it gets really cold. I hadn't been to Panama City Beach in a couple of years and decided to go lay on the beach. It was a 6 hour drive and I had only been to Panama City Beach during spring break time so I was surprised to see how quiet and empty the city was. I liked the lack of traffic and people and it possible to actual enjoy the beach more.

Heres my outfit for the day....I've gotten like no use out of these military boots. In fact this is the 3rd time that I've worn them. Terrible right?

Wearing Target dress, boots from Gojane, vest courtesy of Ms. Givens of TrendWisely. Thanks soo much! Alexander Wang Rocco Baby

The Weekend

Happy Monday Guys!!!! Hope that your weekends were fab! I definitely enjoyed mine. This is a dress that I wore one night to go out this weekend. Sorry for the dirty mirror in my pictures lol. What I love about this jersey dress is that it is soo affordable (I paid like 15 bucks for it). It's comfortable and so simple. I plan one going back to H&M to buy the other colors because all you have to do is add some accessories and heels and enjoy a night on the town.

I tried to buy a size up though because I didn't want it so snug that I couldnt wear it as a daytime look with knee high boots.

A weekend isnt complete without drinks (hot and cold ones)
I love Mexican food especially with Margaritas which are a must. Cheers to the Weekend? (I love that Rihanna song!)

I also enjoyed a tasty cappuccino over the weekend.

Did my nails by matting a purple color and then half mooning some shiny gold.
 What do you guys think???
 How was your weekend???
