Happy Saturday Everyone!!! This is my outfit that I wore yesterday. I saw this skirt at Forever21 and was soo excited. It was only like 8 bucks (maybe 12) I think. I wanted to pair it with a white shirt but I think that this match turned out perfectly. Got another wear out of my feather earrings too.

Year One: Blogiversary Giveaway

Today marks one year from the day I started this blog. I can't believe it came so fast! I had been soo hesitant about it but eventually Sugar Filled Closet was born. That day happens to be the same day as my Fiance's and my anniversary. Yes, Happy Anniversary to us also. It was Fiance who encouraged me that I should go ahead and start a blog instead of just talking about it.

No I'm not going to recap my favorite posts from the past year (though you guys are welcomed to tell me which posts you loved). I am also not going to talk about what I want to do with this blog for the future. I am however going to use this post to thank you guys!

Nails+ Homemade jewelry

I know that Ive done leopard print before but I recently purchased Essie's Matte top coat and wanted to try glossy animal print over a matte background. Heres my attempt at them. Im not sure if you can even tell the prints are a different texture than the background...maybe in the second pic its more noticeable.

I spent yesterday night making bracelets. All of the bracelets, except the one with the big jewel on it, I made last night .

Its really rainy outside so no outfit pick for today. Apparently it'll be raining for the next few days here. I hate it because it will be nasty out but love it because I get my best sleep with its thundering and lightening outside (is that weird?). Love you guys!

Birds of a Feather

I've had this top sitting in my closet for a while now. Actually I think that its probably 2 years old now and been worn like once.  I remember wearing it and hating it because the arms are cut really low. The fabric is jersey like material with the exception of the shiny silver and white detail you see at the top (the last picture is probably the clearest view of it). I, for some reason, had never thought to throw a cardigan on top of it and call it a day. Go figure. Friday will make one year since I started my blog and I am soo happy to have made it this far with you guys. I will be starting a giveaway friday. September Wants

September is almost over but there are still soo many things that I have been wanting this month...

1. Pieces Laxmi Leopard Print Belt from ASOS. I find that when it comes to outfits that seem very boring, belts equal completion. Therefore a belt that is also leopard print? I have to have. Loving small doses of animal print right now. $16.47

2. Urban Outfitters Sparkle & Fade Paperbag Shorts. I am in love with ballon shorts. I find that they look flattering on me and this color screams fall to me. $29

3. Lulus Fascination Street Gold Sequin Shorts. I've seen soo many bloggers incorporate glitter/shininess into their outfits. I love the way that B.Inspired at Bravo Runway was able to incorporate a shiny piece into her outfit without looking like she was doing too much. $55

4. I've been wanting a faux fur vest for a long time and I'm hoping to finally get one this fall/winter. 

5. Sam Edelman Lou Side Buckle Platform Booties. These booties are soo cute guys. I love them. Yay for more booties for fall.

6. Midi skirts are a wonderful addition to any wardrobe. An asymmetrical midi would be even wonderful. Though I kind of wonder if this skirt would be considered a midi. 

7. Low Luv x Erin Wasson Bone Armor Ring. Love this

8.  ASOS Zip Base Handheld Bag. I would love to own this bag. I think that it looks soo feminine and I think that this shade of yellow would be great for fall. $54.89

Cat Eye Shades

 My sister has been talking about Kourtney Kardashians cat eye shades for a while now. So much so that I have also fallen in love with them. 

Tom Ford Nikita

For the price tag of $300, that will probably not be happening.

Then I found these shades at Target which are much bigger than the Tom Fords and they have a less exaggerated cat eye to them. I love them.

What do you guys think? Cute and soo much cheaper.

Arm Wrestling With The Wind [Me+1]

Happy Friday Lovely Blog Readers! Today is such a beautiful day [minus the strong wind] and I am in such an awesome mood for no specific reason. I am jump starting my weekend a few hours early and doing absolutely nothing but wedding stuff (which Ive neglected to think about) and blog reading. I also saw this DIY I wanted to try. I need some stylish sunnies in my life, I own like 2 pairs. DVRed episodes of Project Runway, Millionaire Matchmaker, Four Weddings, and Say Yes To The Dress starts now.

Cloudy With A Chance of Rain

Couldn't be more excited to get some rain in Georgia. It was still in the 90s yesterday and I just can't deal. I love hot weather but is it ever appealing to have sweated so much that you clothes stick to you. Not stylish at all I assume. Right now it feels a little breezy, but I would still soo be wearing shorts with this top if I enjoyed the feel of rain on my legs. What is your appropriate rainy day outfit for summer weather? Which reminds me that I need to find a stylish pair of rain boots.

White Collar *Outfit Post*

Quick outfit post. Very casual for today. Button up shirt with some shorts. In serious need of some groceries so im hoping to be heading to the farmers market in T minus 10 seconds. I havent cooked anything new lately so I need to change that..see you guys later. I'll try to post the rest of my California pictures tonight.

Been a long time coming... *Outfit Post*

You guys...fall is almost here. Which means cool weather is around the corner. I am soo sad actually because I totally dislike cold weather; and I feel like my fall and winter clothes are always soo dark. More of a reason to do a lot of fall/winter shopping in the near future I guess. Actually went shopping with my sister and picked up this skirt for like 6 bucks from Forever. I think I may go back just to get the other 4 colors just because they are soo cheap and stylish. My sister convinced me to get it despite my reservations about looking like a flat board (wish I was a tad bit curvier for the skirt but thats another story lol)

picked up some more stuff from the Missoni stuff from Target. The city of Atlanta has been going crazy over this collection all day... nearly sold out in the first few hours everywhere. The key guys is to not even try Targets inside the city for the collection. I was able to find almost everything I wanted.... I got some hair accessories, a journal, mug, skirt and scarf. I am soo disappointed in not being able to get fiance a Missoni tie but he couldnt care one way or the other lol. The next 2 hours of my time will be used to catch up on blogs. Missoni for Target craze

Just got home Target and let me just say that the Missoni collection is soo beautiful. I only picked up a skirt and headscarf (I was on a time crunch) but I think I will be heading back there later on today to look at more of the home goods (if any of them are even left).

Let you know what else I get later on today.

California Post 1

Hey Guys! Wow, its been a few days since I've posted. I just got back from California and what can I say. i absolutely loved every second of it. True Story: I have never visited the West Coast before. I've been up and down the East Coast but never out west. My friend from law school moved out to California and though I was sad she moved, I was excited to have a reason to visit. She lives in Orange County so we ended up spending only one day in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Clemente, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Long Beach, Oceanside...among other places. We were literally all over SoCal. I will say though that next time, I'll have to spend a full vacation in LA.

 Went to the Griddle Cafe where they had the most amazing pancakes in so many different flavor combinations. If you didnt like the food, it helped because the waiters were also very much attractive, lol. Not sure where the one we went to was located...Hollywood I think.

 One of the things we tried was the red velvet pancake....yum! Kind of sweet for breakfast though with the cream cheese icing.

 Visited Hollywood Boulevard where Matt Damon and I locked hands (below)...well kind of (I love him)

Had to do a closer up shot of the ppl in the background.  I'm all for printed pants but this lady and kid in the background looked like they were wearing pajama pants.

 Visit Laguna Beach...sooo beautiful. This was actually my favorite of the beaches we visited.

 Fooling around at some hat shop in Huntington beach. It was actually cold out. It is soo weird how California skies are foggy in the morning (to the point that I thought it would rain every single day) and everything seems to clear up and warm up by afternoon.

 Visited Sprinkles...not impressed.

 Even found time to visit the San Diego zoo....

Went Spelunking in La Jolla. Look of anxiety hoping my friend would take the picture before the waves came in..fail..I got wet.
